Welcome — I’m Mike Buechel. I lead Buechel Stone, the company my family has grown from a small farm-quarry into a nationally recognized natural stone provider. I’m proud to serve as President & CEO, guiding our mission to deliver the best, most dependable experience in the natural stone industry while caring for the people — our customers, partners, and especially our team of “Rockstars.”

Work and life aren’t separate worlds for me — they’re deeply connected. I grew up around stone, watching my parents and extended family build this business from the ground up, and I’ve carried that hands-on learning into every role I’ve held here. What started as summer work loading trucks and splitting stone has become a life calling to serve customers thoughtfully and lead with integrity.

My goal is simple: to balance meaningful work with a rich life outside of it. I believe you can’t bring your best to your job unless you’re fulfilled at home — and I’m blessed with a supportive family who shares that belief. This blog isn’t just about stone — it’s about life around stone: the people, the adventures, the lessons, and the joy of doing something worthwhile every day.
